It's high time we ditch those idols made from plaster of Paris and take the eco-friendly route. Even the Government agrees. In fact, to make it simple — HMDA is distributing 60,000 clay idols, this Ganesh Chaturthi. These eco-friendly Ganesh idols are being distributed at no cost. Yup, no kidding. These idols are eight inches in height and will be distributed between August 28 and August 30. These idols are decked up using natural colours, and if we were you, we'd make plans to pick them up for one of the 33 centres. These centres include Kalakriti Art Gallery, Press Club, Lumbini Park, Shilparamam (both Uppal and Hitech City), near IKEA, Safilguda Lake Park, and more.
