Have You Tried The Authentic Gujarati Full Meals At This Restaurant In Ramkoti At INR 110 Only?

Gujarat Bhojanalay — a 34-year-old mess located in the bylanes of Ramkoti is a hidden gem where you can grab a plate of unlimited full meals at INR 110. 

If you think messes are simple, Gujarat Bhojanalay is the plain Jane of them all. Absolutely unidentifiable from the outside, this mess is run by an elderly Gujarati family. Walk into the mess, peruse the menu which is limited to full meals, lassi, and buttermilk, and proceed to take a table. This is a moderate-sized room and you'll find 7-8 tables and at the end of the room, you'll find the dishes neatly arranged in a buffet-style. What we really liked about the entire space is how spotlessly clean it was! 

This is a self-service mess, and at the buffet counter, you can take your pick of food. The papad and curd are homemade and the only limited options on the plate. On the day we visited, the food options were Khatti Meethi Dal, Batata Nu Shaak (A traditional aloo curry), lauki ki sabzi, and another variant of dal. Ghee rotis are served at your table, and you just cannot complain about the service as it's incredibly prompt. In short, they treat you like a home guest. The dals were delicious, and we loved Batata Nu Shaak, which is as authentic as it can get. 

All the dishes were a little greasy and we think a little overpriced for the variety, but if you're someone who enjoys unlimited meals, this one's for you.
