Join The Reading Community At KBR Park

Hyderabad Reads is a community of bibliophiles that meets everyday Sunday, 4 PM at KBR Park. There are no fussy formalities. All you have to do is grab your favourite book or pack your kindle and a mat, and head to the park to read in the calm of the nature. You'll find close to a 50 people swiping the pages of their books and if you see spot someone read something interesting, start a conversation.

Go For A Heritage Walk

A city as historically rich as Hyderabad, there's always so much to explore. What better than join a heritage walk for that? Telangana Tourism and The Hyderabad Walking Company organize themed walks regularly. From the lesser-known streets of Old City to the untold stories of hidden structures, you can get along with a group of enthusiasts and explore the city on foot.

Have Chai and Samosa At Lamakaan

Ditch fancy cafes for your evening tea and coffee for once and have a kadak cuppa at Lamkaan. The OG Hyderabad is know Lamakaan as an "everything place". It's a cultural building that hosts plays, comedy shows and poetry slams but it's more than that. You can read your book, watching movies on your laptop or tab, hang out with friends, network with colleagues, all under one roof. The space is huge with a center stage for events but you'll find a lot of people chill on the terrace, near the backstage and in the sit out.

Attend An Open Mic

Hyderabad's open mic scene is bustling with events every weekend. Isn't that enough reason to check it out? From poetry slams, storytelling to stand up comedy and more, you'll find an open mic for every interest. Introvert? No problem, you'll find many like you waiting to start conversations. Extroverts, this is the place for you to shine.

Spend An Evening At A Dog Park

Have a little pooch? Spend sometime in a dog park and make friends with other pet parents. And not just you, maybe your furry partner will also find a friend or two. Now, we're not saying you necessarily need to have a pet, you can still go and play with the little ones and strike conversations.

Where: There are three popular dog parks in the city, Necklace Road, Kondapur, and Gachibowli

Check Out Ramakrishna Math

A library, language school, yoga classes and spiritual centers, Ramakrishna Math is a place we recommend for introverts and people who love the calm and quite of slow living. Out of all the places, we love the library. It's big and houses books of every genre, comics to non-fiction. You can sit with fellow book lovers and converse hush-hush.

Where: Ramakrishna Math, located on Lower Tank Bund

When: The yoga class and language schools have class-wise timings, whereas the library and spiritual centre is open from 9 AM to 6 PM.
