Hyderabad's OG wholesale market comes alive during Christmas where you can find several shops lined up selling trees, ornaments, fairy lights, buntings and several other decoration items. The collection spread out in several shops has the widest variety of decor you will find in the city. Get your bargaining game on, and you can take home a truckload of festive baubles on a budget!

Himalaya Book Store
While there are several branches of the Himalaya Book Store in the city, we recommend visiting the Secunderabad branch next to St. Ann's High School. The store has an impressive collection of art supplies, office supplies and other stationery. Come Christmas, and they also have an extensive collection of stars, trees, ornaments and other baubles. Out of all the items they have on offer, do check out their wide range of stars. Even if you're not buying anything, we recommend just visiting the store to soak in the festive spirit!

General Bazaar
If you've grown up in and around Secunderabad, chances are you have visited the lanes of General Bazaar for intense shopping sprees on various occasions. The wholesale market stocks everything from clothes, accessories, fabric, shoes and much more! One of the best times to visit the market, though, is during Christmas. Much like Begum Bazaar, you will find tiny shops lined up selling some of the most attractive ornaments, lights and other decor. Most standalone stores in Hyderabad bump up the prices on Christmas trees massively. So if you're looking to get yourself one, we recommend you pick it up from one of the stores here.

Shraddha Extension
One of the OG places in Hyderabad to grab home decor and stationery, you cannot go wrong with Shraddha Extension. The range of Christmas decor here is impressive and gets better every year - from trees, tree ornaments, stars, baubles, wreaths and other decor, Shraddha Extension is your one stop shop especially if you're in a hurry and can't bother to explore around in a wholesale market. While the prices are definitely higher than, say, what you'd find at General Bazaar, we've found some unique finds at this store and for that, we'd totally recommend Shraddha Extension.

St. Paul's Publications
St. Paul's Publications is a Catholic book store where you can find Children's books, prayer books and other religious artefacts. If you're looking for quality Crib and Nativity sets, they have some of the best ones in the city here. We found everything from small table top sizes to elaborate ceramic statues for your crib set at this unassuming, peaceful space. While the prices may seem on the higher end for some of them, a Crib set is something you'll reuse for years so we recommend investing in a good quality one here.

Ruffles Home Decor
We think Ruffles Home Decor is one of the more underrated home decor stores in Secunderabad with some unique finds. If you're hosting friends and family over and would like to deck up your home to reflect the season's spirit, pick up some affordable pieces from Ruffles. We found everything from Christmas themed table linen, serveware, kitchen mitts, cushion covers, placemats and curtains here. Their regular collection too, is quite vibrant and can elevate your spaces without burning a hole in your pocket. They offer limited stocks though, so head here as soon as you can!

Ikea
Ikea is our favourite for great home furnishings on a budget, especially during a sale. We also love their limited, but quality Christmas decor. If minimal decor is your vibe, you can get your hands on some trees, ornaments and candles, here during the festive season. We even found some cute miniature trees that you can use to decorate your work desk or smaller spaces, without any frills or over the top designs. Ikea candles are our favourite additions to centrepieces, so definitely look out for them. We love their price point too!

This store has become one of Hyderabad’s go-to stops for Christmas ornaments, especially if you’re looking for decor that feels stylish and traditional. The store stocks everything from classic wraths and glass baubles to modern metallic ornaments and themed decor sets, so you can either recreate a nostalgic Christmas morning set or chase the Pinterest-ready aesthetic. While you’re there, you’ll see shoppers come for the artificial trees that they sell in multiple sizes and finishes, along with lights and nativity pieces.
