India Bistro is located near Kothaguda Junction, Kondapur. It’s on the 3rd floor of a building which is still under construction. The entrance is a little messy with construction equipment lying around.
When we entered, the staff greeted us warmly and helped us with a Table. The menu was well constructed with a good balance of dishes from different cuisines.
Soup:
Tom Yom Kom Soup: The soup was quite spicy. The smell of fish sauce was a little excessive and was off-putting.
Appetizers:
Laal Mirch Paneer Tikka - The Paneer was cooked well, but the masala on the outside was not cooked properly. Could taste raw spices.
Lasooni Machi Tikka - This was the best of the appetizers that were served to us. The fish was super soft and succulent and was marinated to perfection.
Fiery Hot Prawns - This dish was really well prepared. Every element of the dish was there for a reason. Sweet and sour taste. Amazing.
Butter Garlic Prawns - The prawns were super soft. The taste was a little bland.
Main Course:
Roti Basket - There was an assortment of different types of Rotis, that included Garlic naan, butter naan, Tandoori Roti, Lachha paratha and more. The Rotis were perfect.
Murgh Kali Mirchi Masala - The green gravy of this dish was quite inviting. It is a very good dish to have with Rotis.
Paneer Butter Masala - This was the best dish among the main course dishes that was served to us. The paneer was soft, the gravy was perfect.
Chicken Dum Biryani - This was one of the better biryanis I have had. The chicken was moist and cooked properly. The rice was flavourful too.
Rayalarari Ratanala Pulav - This south Indian pulav was quite good, to be honest except for the burnt onion.
Desserts:
Chocolate Fashion - There was no chocolate based dessert in the Menu. This particular dessert was a Chef Special. And boy! It was really a special dish. Right from the taste to the presentation. It was constructed beautifully.
Cassata - The classic ice cream dish. It was presented beautifully. The taste was good too.
Overall Impressions:
The place has wonderful vibes. The staff is extremely courteous. The ambience is amazing and peaceful! A really good place to have dinner with family and at the same time a nice place to have a lunch brunch with friends and colleagues. The wall decor with the plants was a highlight. The food is quite authentic. Pretty impressed by this place!
