Have You Tried The Cone Pizza At This Gachibowli Kiosk For INR 100 Yet?

Move over, Cornetto, cheese-dripping cone pizza is now our true love. Located in the DLF Street of Gachibowli, Khoune Pizza is a kiosk that serves eight types of cone pizzas.

We were miserable when Pizza Corner was closed in Hyderabad as it was the only eatery that made epic cone pizzas. So, when we heard about Khoune Pizza — a tiny kiosk located in DLF street, we naturally headed out in that direction. Now, don’t expect anything fancy — this is an extremely tiny kiosk that has a seating outside with barely three tables and chairs. It opens at 5pm and runs till midnight but it’s crowded between 8pm-10pm and the service can be slow then. So, pick a time {close to midnight} and get here to relish the quirkiest pizza in town.

The eight varieties of pizza include Andhra Chicken, Fried Mushroom, Chicken Tikka and these were the ones we tried. They all arrived after a good 15 minutes and were packed in a white paper box. We loved how the cheese wasn’t dripping out of the cone. The cone’s top reminded us of baked mac and cheese, but that’s where the similarity ends. These pizzas are not for the faint-hearted. They are super spicy, tangy, but my god, so tasty! The Andhra Chicken pizza came with several chunks of chicken in a curry that tastes like a homemade gravy. With a generous helping of cheese in it, we loved this fusion dish. The Chicken Tikka could have been better as it tasted more like a frankie than a pizza, but the Fried Mushroom {very spicy, again} was a clear winner. The mushroom was well-cooked and it tasted just about right with cheese and tomatoes.

All the pizzas are priced at INR 100 each, and honestly, they are quite filling. So, if you are looking for a midnight snack that fills your tum and doesn’t burn a hole in your pocket, you got to check this out. Khoune has also opened a new outlet in Raheja Mindspace, Hitech City.
