What Makes It Awesome

They say if the food is really good, the place doesn't really matter. But if the place is a 100-year-old bungalow, what's the harm? Kshetra — a vegetarian restaurant in Khairtabad, has been around for more than 10 years, and the taste is unchanged. Tucked inside the lane next to Eenadu office, we love how secluded this place feels, making their outdoor seating perfect for a cuppa. If you're not a big group, you can sit outside and dine under the trees.

We made our way indoors to a spacious hall with paintings on the walls and a very family-restaurant vibe. North Indian, South Indian, Chinese, thalis, and breakfast — their menu has plenty to choose from. We ordered a South Indian thali, Raj Bhog thali, Bisi Bele Bath, and Special Kheema Biryani. As expected, the thalis were filling and both were accompanied by soups and desserts. We licked the plates cleaned and ended our meal with hot filter coffee, just for the kicks. Will we go back here? Yes.
