More than eight-decade-old Moazzam Jahi Market will soon be transformed into a cultural hub. After the restoration work (which is almost done), the Telangana government has plans to make it a centre of theatre and music. As per Municipal Administration and Urban Development (MAUD) Principal Secretary Arvind Kumar, the main part of the market will be converted into a venue for cultural programmes.
Originally meant to be a fruit market, which soon turned out to be an umbrella of products at wholesale prices, this identity to the historical market will be a major development.
