What Makes It Awesome
Set out on an adventure amidst wildlife and dense plantation at Pench National Park, which gets its name from the River Pench dividing the park into two halves. The terrains of the park are rather undulated with small hills, and covered in thick teak and bamboo trees. It is home to a wide range of flora and fauna, and you can spot White Kulu or Mahua trees, and animals like leopards, jackals, hyenas, cheetahs, wild boars, deer and tigers among many others. In fact, the Pench Tiger Reserve is where Rudyard Kipling set Mowgli.
While here, you can go rafting in the river or camp in the forest to make your trip all the more adventurous. They have many tour packages for wildlife photographers, solo travellers, families and for those who want to get insights into the arts and culture of the region on their official website. Not too far from this park is the town of Bhedaghat where you can get some picturesque shots for your Instagram feed. Don't forget to make a visit to the oldest Buddhist destination in India called Sanchi, which is also less than 300 km from this park.
