What Makes It Awesome

Chakkati Telugu bhojanam in a train-themed restaurant — that's Platform 65 for you. And by train-themed we mean, the seats resemble those of a fancy chair-car, walls are decked with locomotive designs, and there are train tracks on every table, mini ones of course. This new family restaurant in Kukatpally has lots of seating (which makes it a little congested) but the food and train are what we went there for. BTW, this place was packed on a Tuesday afternoon, so you can imagine the hype.

Now, let us talk about food and how it was served. Their elaborate menu includes regional, North Indian, and Chinese Dishes, and they have a separate dessert menu too. We ordered Andhra Chicken, Kona Sima Chicken Pakodi, Chilli Chicken, Shangai Rolls, Chicken Tikka Biryani, Panner Chatpat, and lots of garlic naan. We know that's a lot, but the food was a killer. We asked for everything to be spicy and they did justice to our request.

Interestingly, all the dishes were served on trains that run on the tracks spread on all the tables and it's adorable. Not the most affordable place, but it's worth the bucks considering the unique presentation and regional food being on point. FYI, every table has a station name like Kanpur, Trivandrum, Ahmedabad, etc. Spot on attention to detail.
