Craving thepla and all meals Gujarati and clueless where to find them? Savla's Home Food, as the name says, is a modest restaurant in Madhapur that serves killer homemade meals. Their thalis are authentic, and you can get them delivered too.
Whether you have just moved to Hyderabad from North India or are curious to taste the goodness of home-cooked Gujarati food — Savla's Home Food should be on your checklist. By the look of it, this hidden gem of a place seems rather plain, and perhaps even awry, but the food makes it worthwhile. We got a Thepla Thali which was a pleasing assortment of theplas, a beans curry, dal, choley, and namkeen. Every bite was enjoyable. We also got Baingan Ka Bharta on the side which added a spicy touch to the otherwise sweetened Gujarati food. This thali is served with buttermilk, but we prefer the Srikhand. Also, if you thought what's Gujarati food without dhoklas, let us tell you they have pretty good dhoklas served with mint chutney. It is quite a pocket-friendly place with snacks starting as low as INR 30.
