Talking Hands is a restaurant in Telangana Tourism Paryatak Bhavan in Begumpet that is run by hearing-impaired people. You have conversations with the staff in sign language, but don't worry about not knowing it because you're given a book with basic instructions right when you enter. We went through the menu which comes with signs next to the dishes and asked for a Talumein Soup, Paneer Malai Tikka, and Mushroom Pulao. You have to place your order in sign language, and if you err, they help you out in getting it right.
The cuisine is mostly North Indian and Indo-Chinese, and while the paneer tikka was a little too spicy for our taste, the ghee-rich pulao had lots of mushrooms tossed in it. The food arrived within minutes, and the service is quite sweet. But here's the thing — you'll have a great experience but the food might not win you over, 100 per cent.
