Now, here's the thing, good folks — thrift shopping is now becoming a thing. To save the planet more than ever, millennials are shopping consciously and wisely. One such brand founded to champion sustainability and to promote the thought of reuse is The Thrifted Closet. Founded by Nikhita Patibandla, this is Hyderabad's first thrift store. Like a lot of us, Nikhita's introduction to thrift shopping was through Mackelmore's Thrift Shop song in 2013, and the words “one man’s trash is another man’s treasure” stayed with her all these years.
Before floating her thrift shop on Instagram, she explored thrift shops in the USA, researched sustainable shopping and why it matters, understood the importance of curation, etc. One look at The Thrifted Closet and you'll find chic casuals and lovely cocktail dresses. Curated from her closet and a select few acquaintances, these products go through a certain quality check before they are sold to the users. We recommend visiting the store's Instagram page and tap on one of their story highlights — available and find out what's up for grabs. We're loving those floral dresses and white tops in classic cuts. Plus, the crop tops are worth checking out!
The price range across the store begins at INR 399, and you can find brands such as H&M, Forever 21, Mango, Derek Heart, Vero Moda, ONLY, and more.
