For all of you who love a good South Indian meal, there’s news! There’s a cute food truck in town that is dishing out everything from bonda and wada to dosa and idli. Past midnight on a Saturday is when we stumbled upon this truck in a residential area of Gandhi Nagar (but we hear it's soon going to move to Vidyanagar). The entire place has a jolly vibe, thanks to the cheerful chatter of customers and the Telugu music on speakers. While the SLF truck (Swarna Lakshmi Food Truck) is pretty tiny with doodles of South Indian food, they have a limited menu. We picked masala dosa and idli, which were served hot with a greasy coconut chutney. The dosa was thick and soft, and the potato filling in it was spicy and went perfectly with the chutney. They serve four pieces of fluffy idlis that are pretty filling for a single person too. Apart from these dishes, you can expect this truck to solve your late night tea and coffee cravings too. Drop in when hunger pangs strike during night outs, and relish good food without burning a hole in your pockets. Besides, everything is freshly made and we give them bonus points for maintaining good hygiene.
