The Gallery located in Siripuram is famous for its quirky wall frames and bookshelves. Done up with comfortable and dainty wooden furniture, it looks like it is from a Tollywood movie. The place is famous for the different varieties of coffee and tea. Try their pizzas and waffles and you won’t stop with one. And the best part? There is a tattoo parlour tucked inside the cafe.
Upland Bistro
Upland Bistro is a tiny place with simple interiors. Located in Waltair Uplands, this place serves sizzlers that are worth dying for. Try their Balsamic Glazed Mushrooms, Peri Peri Pasta, Chicken Tikka Pizza, Vegetariana Chimichanga, Chicken a la King and end your meal with dessert. If you are looking for Italian and Mediterranean food in Vizag, there is no better place.
Flying Spaghetti Monster
Flying Spaghetti Monster needs no introduction and Vizagites were elated to see a branch open in Waltair Uplands. Try their Crostini Assortiti, Margherita Pizza, Pizza Alla Vodka, Lasagne Napoletana, Aglio Olio Pasta and their menu is so huge and everything is so good that we can’t fit it in one post. The place has great ambience with indoors and cosy outdoor seating which is perfect for winters.
Wafl Cafe
A little waffle never hurt anyone and Wafl Cafe in Maddilapalem offers great food at affordable prices. This place is great for students and youngsters to hang out in the afternoons and evenings. The Nutella and Kitkat Hong Kong Waffle, Banoffee Belgium Waffle, Waffle Pizzas and Corndogs are perfect for munching. They also have a Menu 99, on Mondays – Friday, where you get everything for INR 99 and also you can get a free coffee or tea if you pick a Waffle from their Everyday Breakfast menu. This place is already a favourite.
Ramaiah's Vegetarian Meals
Comfort food on your mind? Ramaiah Vegetarian Meals is where you should head to. This place has several outlets and the hotel is divided into two areas: AC and Non-AC. The place serves authentic and tasty Andhra Meals under INR 150. The meal includes rasam, dal, sambar, pakoda, a vegetable fry, a curried vegetable, roti, rice, papads, pickles, and various podis. Please note that you can eat unlimited amounts of food. Seals the deal for us.
Percolator Coffee House
We’ve saved our absolute favourite for the last. What is Vizag without Percolator? Located in Maharani Peta, with its beach view and epic ambience, this place is relaxing and a must visit. The place is great for fries, pizzas, sandwiches, sizzlers and Chinese food. As the name suggests, they also serve great coffee, but also as the name doesn’t suggest, they’ve got great biryani.
