Capricio
Starting off the guide with a band that started it all - Capricio got the ball rolling for the Telugu live music scene in Hyderabad. With mashups of iconic tracks from our childhood, they soon won over our little Telugu hearts and continue to rule the live music scene today. When the band isn't performing live at their regular haunts in town, they're seen at private gigs for some of the most legendary actors in Telugu cinema.
Threeory
Nine-piece band Threeory got supremely famous for adding unique Indian touches to Progressive Rock music with additions like Sitar, Tabla and Violin doling out some of the most soulful tracks Indian cinema has to offer. Think tracks like Roja and Bombay that the violinist Parsa Dattasai effortlessly performs during their sets. The band currently incorporates a lot of Telugu and Tamil music into their sets aside from Hindi and English numbers. Band Elyzium
You may recognise Band Elyzium's lead singer Dinker Kalvala from TV shows and several hit playback numbers in Tollywood. Infusion
If you follow Telugu singing reality TV shows, you will instantly recognise Infusion's lead singers Krishna Chaitanya and Valli Gayatri. The band performs fusion music featuring Telugu and Hindi film music, experimenting with different genres, languages and styles. Narasimha/Padayappa fan? Kalakaari
Kalakaari is a Pop/Rock band that regularly performs Telugu and Hindi hits. The band's showmanship, costumes, and the energy on stage is something you should absolutely watch out for. We love that they don't forget yesteryear hits like Niluvavey Vaalukanula Dana and Chettulekka Galava during their performances. Totally appeals to the old soul in us!
Varnam
Varnam majorly plays Telugu music, rendered in the band's unique style infusing elements of jazz, funk and disco music.
