The Listening Room At Katha Coffee & Bakehouse
This space, created in collaboration with The Revolver Club, is Hyderabad’s first dedicated vinyl store-meets-hangout for music lovers. It runs on the simple idea of slow listening and we’re game for that. Every week, they rotate a curated set of nine records, and each evening from 6 PM to 7 PM, they host a listening hour where one album from the set is played from front to back without any interruptions. So no, the music is not background music here. They also put together deeper Listening Sessions at the cafe, where people gather to experience iconic artists’ one full album at a time. But if music is an intimate affair for you, don’t worry, there’s a compact listening booth where you can plug into a turntable with headphones and browse on your own time. Awesome, right?
