For those of you who grew up taking trips to Walden — an iconic 29-year-old bookstore in Hyderabad, this news might come as a shock. After serving us for so long, Walden in Begumpet is shutting its shop. Yup! The biggest of all the branches, we've always had a soft corner for this outlet because this is where we picked our first Enid Blyton, Hardy Boys, etc. Even to this day, we hit up this store to pick up those lesser-known indie magazines, stationery, and more books. This makes you sad, doesn't it?
Walden has outlets in Banjara Hills and Gachibowli. Maybe that's where we'll head now.
