Monday evening with a lot of traffic our stomachs growling for food. The number of starters served itself filled our stomachs. Around 15 dishes were served at DesiWay and the best part was that each and every dish was unique in its own way! The dinner started off with a Desi drink nannari mixed with jaljeera. The drink kept us hydrated and bought all the energy back in us. Next was the soup Uttar Dakshin soup. The name says it all! A mix of the ingredients from the north and the south. It just made our taste buds feel important. The starters that were served were mozzarella sticks, stuffed baby corn, cheesy mushroom, veg Momo's, pomegranate poppers, paneer tikka, dal chawal aranchini , desi fondue and just to make things better Dahi papdi chat was also served. The star of the evening was the dal chawal aranchini. We all called it the desi risotto! As I'm a vegetarian I tasted only the veg items and my friends had no complaints about the non-veg food. The smiley faces said it all! The items just kept coming and coming! The main course was equally good. We got to taste the gutti vankaya, panner do pyaza and the smoked palak paneer with rotis and steam rice. The surprising part was the desert, the Hot gulab jamun. Who doesn't like them! A special shout out to the chef. Mr Kiran who made our evening much better!
