With erratic schedules and late night doom scrolling on the 'gram, we rarely have a breather between work and play. If you've been feeling the heat from work and would like to cool off without taking too many days off for a vacation, may we suggest a quick staycation bang in the middle of the city?
The Westin at Raheja Mindspace feels like a much needed oasis of calm in the midst of the busy IT hub. The rooms range across presidential suites, luxury suites, deluxe suites and executive suites, all filled with plush amenities. You also get to enjoy the views from Mindspace from some of the suites.
You have four options for dining at the space. Head to Kangan — the specialty Indian restaurant serving the best of Peshawari Hyderabadi cuisine on a platter. All the recipes have been passed down from the Executive Chef's family, making the preparations authentic. Order in a biryani here and also check out a host of mains from the revamped menu. The charming decor is inspired from the bangle stores of Laad Bazaar in Charminar. When you head outside, and you can find an artist making lac bangles (which are GI tagged to Hyderabad) that you can take home as a keepsake post your meal.If you're craving Italian? Head to Prego's Sunday Brunches, where you can take a dip in the pool while chomping on freshly made Italian gourmet food. The wood fired pizzas and bruschettas are an absolute must-try here.
You could also head to Seasonal Tastes — the all day buffet dining spot that offers global cuisines along with Indian as well. The spot is great for leisurely buffet meals, and we loved the selection of home made ice creams from their dessert section.
For a night cap, head straight to Casbah and be transported into the Middle East. This Middle Eastern themed lounge is excellent to sip on cocktails and drinks with friends while munching on some pita bread and hummus. If you have a major sweet tooth and prefer desserts on the sweeter side, pick the Baklava to finish your late night soiree.
We love that The Westin also has one of the best spas in the city. Walk in and you're greeted with some comforting tea prior to your appointment. You can pick massages for pain relief, relaxation or stimulation based on your mood, and also opt for couples massages where you and your partner can spend time together while relaxing. Whether you staycation here or not, the Heavenly Spa is a must-do and worth your coin.
