Looking for something simple and minimalistic? Ameya in Sarath City Capital Mall offers you just that and more. This designer store is decked up in hues of white and red, specialising in cotton kurtas and dresses. Featuring asymmetrical cuts and flouncy sleeves, we love how all the pieces are unique. What we love the most is that they have a wide variety to cater to different sensibilities.

Hidden in the by-lanes of Banjara Hills, Kilol is a dainty clothing store that stocks up everything block print from Jaipur. They've got Indo-western outfits that are perfect for our modern lifestyle. Have a special occasion coming up? Check out their straight-cut suits and saree collection. Adorned with lovely floral and traditional prints, you will be spoilt for choice even for home decor.

Unnati Silks
Unnati Silks is an iconic 40-year-old store in General Bazaar, Secunderabad that's known for its beautiful weaves. Go here and splurge on beautiful sarees and dress materials. Step into the store and lose yourself in handloom heaven. They stock up on Benarasi, Bandhani, Kanchipattu, Pochampally Silk, Sambalpuri Ikat, Supernet, Sico, and so much more. We suggest taking your mother on a shopping excursion to spot lovely Ajrakh, Bagru, Jamdani artwork. They've got Madhubani and Batik printed sarees too, so you know the options are endless.

Siri Collections
Siri Collections in Kukatpally stocks a wide range of sarees, fabrics, blouses and lehenga sets. You can find handlooms, stitched and unstitched sets, hoards of fabrics all under one roof. The store designs and manufactures exclusive pieces like party wear sarees in organza, jute silk sarees, and more. Don't forget to check out lehengas and dupattas too.

Aarké Ritu Kumar
If you love an Indo-western moment and prefer flowy silhouettes, head to Aarké by Ritu Kumar. The store has a range of options, from lehengas, suits, kaftans and dresses that are perfect for Diwali home parties. Most of the ones we found here are in easy breezy georgette or chiffon in fun yet uniquely Indian prints, which are comfy to wear all night long for the endless taash parties.

Blouse World
With the wedding and festive season upon us, getting tailors to deliver on time is near impossible. If you are pressed for time and would like to rock a saree or lehenga this Diwali, head to Blouse World for some ready-made ones in a wide variety of designs. They stock solid colours, embroidered blouses and fancy ones that work with lehengas or Indian-style skirts too. While you can't try the blouses on before getting them billed, they have a tailor right outside who customises the blouses as per your size.

Memsaheb
One of the most trusted stores in town for ethnic and casual wear, Memsaheb stocks a wide variety of salwar suits, cocktail sarees and lehengas. While they have stores across Hyderabad, we recommend heading to their main (and oldest) store in Badichowdi to find the biggest variety of apparel.

Fair Price
Want to make something from scratch? Head to Fair Price at Badichowdi to get your hands on a wide variety of fabrics in solids, embroidery, thread work etc. Some of the fabrics are pretty enough to directly make garments out of, without any modifications. The price point is pretty reasonable too.

Unique Fancy Sarees
Looking for budget-friendly options for an upcoming wedding? Unique Fancy Sarees has everything from trendy caped lehengas, gowns, co-ord sets, bridal and semi bridal wear to fancy sarees. Aside from the fancy sarees, we were impressed by the range of lehengas available here, starting at INR 11,000. They're appropriate for wedding guests, Haldi functions and festivities.
