Winter is the perfect time to curl up with a book and a cup of hot tea, and snuggle and stay in bed for hours. We know how you can take it up a notch higher, by making a quick and yummy dessert to munch on.

Coffee & Walnut Cake


2 tablespoons flour 2 tablespoons brown sugar 2 tablespoons cocoa powder 1/4 teaspoon baking powder 1 large egg 2 tablespoons of Mother Dairy’s Premium Full Cream milk 1 tablespoon oil 2 tablespoons Nutella


Combine the flour, sugar, cocoa and baking powder in a bowl. Add the egg, milk and oil. Use a beater till it’s well combined. Spoon into a mug and put Nutella in the centre. Microwave for 2 minutes.

Our tip? Top with ice-cream, dark chocolate and drizzle with chocolate sauce.

Strawberry & Cream Cake


1 cup chopped Strawberries 1 teaspoon sugar 2 tablespoons of Mother Dairy’s Premium Full Cream milk ¼ teaspoon vanilla extract 1 tablespoon melted butter 3 tablespoons plain flour ½ tablespoon sugar 1 teaspoon of baking powder 1 tablespoon rolled oats


In a microwaveable mug, mix together the strawberries, sugar and vanilla. To make this yummy cake, mix all the ingredients in a bowl and lay it on top of strawberries. Microwave for 2 minutes.

Top it with some ice-cream or caramel sauce and munch away!

Banana & Coffee Cake


½ medium mushed-up banana 1 tablespoon butter 1 egg white 2 tablespoons of Mother Dairy’s Premium Full Cream milk ¼ teaspoon vanilla extract 4 ½ tablespoons flour ¼ teaspoon cinnamon ¼ teaspoon baking powder Pinch of salt 


In a large microwavable mug, mash the banana and mix it with butter, vanilla extract, full cream milk and egg whites. Add in the flour, cinnamon, baking powder and salt, and stir gently. Microwave for 1 minute till it becomes firm.

Add some sliced bananas and peanut butter for that extra kick in the taste!

Lemon Cake


6 tablespoons all-purpose flour 1/4 cup white sugar 1/8 teaspoon baking powder 1 egg 3 spoons of Mother Dairy’s Premium Full Cream milk 3 tablespoons vegetable oil 2 tablespoons water 1 tablespoon lemon juice

Lemon sauce {if you want that gooey tea cake}

3 tablespoons white sugar {optional} 1 tablespoon lemon juice {optional}


Combine flour, white sugar and baking powder together in a mug. Add egg, vegetable oil, water, full cream milk and 1 tablespoon lemon juice. Cook in the microwave on high for 3 minutes. Remove from microwave and cool. For the sauce, mix 3 tablespoons white sugar and 1 tablespoon lemon juice together in a microwaveble bowl until smooth; cook in microwave until sauce is bubbling, for about 30 seconds. Pour sauce over cake.

Make yourself a cup of tea and enjoy the cake!

Nutella Cake


3 tablespoons white flour 1/4 teaspoon baking powder 1 tablespoon sugar 2 teaspoon oil 3 teaspoons of Mother Dairy’s Premium Full Cream milk 1/4 teaspoon pure vanilla extract 2 walnut halves


Combine dry ingredients and mix well. Add the milk once the batter is ready. Cook 2 minutes in the microwave.

Drizzle with some melted chocolate sauce or ice-cream. Top it with chopped strawberries for some added flavor!
