Kartikeya Srivastava Trio feat. Shirish Malhotra
Shirish Malhotra merges his sounds with the Kartikeya Srivastava Trio, an experimental groove collaboration featuring Pranai Gurung on guitar, Sonic Shori on bass and Kartikeya Srivastava on drums. The group enjoys exploring creative ideas within original groove music and to reinterpret some of their favourite tunes with a modern aesthetic.

Shirish Malhotra
Multi-instrumentalist Shirish Malhotra is a performer, recording artist and teacher. Originally from Mumbai, Shirish’s musical experience has led him to explore a wide and eclectic range of musical styles, from western classical to jazz and African and Latin-American folk traditions. He has performed with some of India’s most respected musicians- Sanjay Divecha, Karan Joseph, Louiz Banks, Loy Mendonsa, Ustad Fazal Qureishi, etc. After a long time working as a session musician in Mumbai, he has spent the last two years studying the saxophone and flute at Trinity Laban Conservatoire in London, where he has been a member of Trinity's Contemporary Jazz Ensemble and the Trinity Alumni Big Band. Shirish counts Claude Debussy, Wayne Shorter, Milton Nascimento and Kenny Wheeler as some of his greatest inspirations, and is always listening out for new (and old!) musical influences.
Kartikeya Srivastava
Kartikeya Srivastava is a drummer, improviser and composer from Lucknow, India. His current interests involve exploring musical improvisation and folk musics from around the world in an attempt to develop a creative musical language that is personal and representative of his experience as a human. In New Delhi, Kartikeya leads and co-leads several projects including Samadhi and Aman Kartikeya Pranai alongside an upcoming guitar quartet.
Pranai Gurung
Pranai Gurung, one of the finest guitarists in Delhi, has been writing and collaborating with various musicians for over 15 years. His past musical collaborations include DRIFT The Trio, Silk Route, Bipul Chettri, J Hola, The Crossover Jazz Collective, BollyJazz and international artists such as like German saxophonist Rainer Pusch, Gianni Denitto and French singer Raphaelle Brochet. Pranai maintains a busy performance schedule which includes international tours to top music venues in Australia, Hong kong, London, Dubai, Nepal and India.
Sonic Shori
Sonic Shori is a professional bassist from the city of New Delhi. He is a student of Grammy-nominated Greek-American musician Panagiotis Andreou. His playing combines complexity with cohesion, playing melodies with dexterity, musicality and tenacity. Over the last few years, Sonic has collaborated with several bands in Delhi and across India, such as Kaash, Antariksh, Trizya, and Adil and Vasundhara.
