The Pind Collective is an online space that brings together young artists from India and Pakistan. We work to give visibility to new art, connect creators, and redefine the conversations that exist between our nations. In 2017, seventy years on from partition, we seek to remember but also to look ahead. With "Home", The Pind Collective will bring its stories to a physical space for the very first time. The exhibition is an interdisciplinary exploration of the idea of home - as elusive, lost, found, and remembered. Our artists speak of chilhood memories, inherited trauma, and unfixedness. They examine home as body and as nation, investigating the relationship between the state, the family, and the individual. At this significant moment in our joint history, we take a moment to consider what we are celebrating when we speak of freedom and belonging. The exhibition will open at 7pm on the 22nd of August. We would love for you to join us drinks, conversation, and art.
