The creative duo of Vidushi Mehra and Samar Sarila after the celebrated success of Skylight and Lives of Others bring back another riveting story to life on stage. Molly Sweeney, blind since infancy, is leading a contented and fulfilling life despite her disability when her husband Frank - an untiring champion of good causes, and self-taught expert in Iranian goats and Ethiopian bee-farming - persuades her to undergo a series of operations that might restore her sight. Their potential saviour is Mr. Rice, an internationally-renowned eye surgeon who abandoned his glittering career and took to drink when his wife left him for one of his colleagues, and whose slumbering ambitions are awakened one last time when he meets Molly. The story is told from the shifting perspectives of Molly, Frank and Rice, in interweaving monologues that combine to make a powerful drama examining the connection between seeing and understanding, and how we create the worlds in which we live.
