This dance symbolizes Goddess Durga’s fight with the demon-king, Mahishasura. We will all dance together as a community, using a pair of sticks, which represents the sword of Durga. At the beginning of each evening, our teachers will quickly explain to you the basics of dandiya, leading the evening with foot-tapping music. These evenings, in the lush green gardens of Zorba the Buddha promise to be vibrant as well as colorful. With high energy music pulsating in the background, come and spend time with your family, friends and people who share the same passions as you. This evening is yours, so come dressed in the brightest kaleidoscopic attires you can find in your closet! With her core specializations in Jazz, Contemporary, Bollywood dance forms, she has devoted herself to the transmission of this knowledge and her passion for free spirited movement to the dancers of tomorrow. She has taught Dandiya at State level and has won first prize in competition. With a certified course on Musical Production from the Trinity, London, whe now conducts independent courses under her own brand ‘All That Jazz’.
