We're all geared up to screen one of the most interesting independent films of the year- '#Shreelancer' by Sandeep Mohan. Mohan is the founder of “The Great Indian Travelling Cinema” - a concept wherein he travels with a Projector and screens his films in various alternative spaces. His goal is to do 100 such travelling cinema screenings in alternative spaces, before going for a limited theatrical release as well as an Online release. About the film- SHREE, a Bangalore based mid 20's freelance copywriter is battling with nagging self doubts about his artistic abilities. He does ads for small time ad agencies, but is quite frustrated that the world doesn't seem to understand or respect Freelancers. Unable to concentrate at home, he visits various Cafes to find his peace and works from there. Addicted to his cellphone and the social media, Shree's worldview is shaped by what he reads online, not having traveled much in the "real" world. As fate would have it, Shree gets an invitation to attend an all-expenses paid trip to a College Friend's wedding. And life as he knows it will never be the same again. To know what unfolds, come watch it at Bedlam on 4th February, 4PM. Shreelancer is a contemporary take on the life of a Freelancer in today’s India. Her ideal day begins with a glass of good cold coffee and a frizz controller that can tackle her mane concerns. Words are her weapons of destruction {or she makes cookies that are sometimes hard enough to shatter glass windows}. She loves beaches, wine and all the good things life has to offer – movies, polka dots and brownies included.
