What's Happening

The Singapore Tourism Board (STB) continues to bring the Passion Made Possible brand to life in India, this time, with a series of engaging activities at the Singapore Weekender in Delhi. STB in association with the St+art India Foundation has organised a massive 2-day experiential festival from Feb 16 to Feb 17 at Singapore Lane, Lodhi Colony, F(r)iction at KONA, Jor Bagh and antiSocial, Hauz Khas. Interested much? Read on to know more.

How's The Venue

If you are a culture vulture, appreciate everything artsy & awesome, then this festival must be on your must-visit list. The Singapore Weekender will be taking place across 3 locations - Lodhi Art District, F(r)iction at KONA, Jor Bagh and antiSocial outlet at Hauz Khas.

The Lodhi Art District has an exclusive Singapore Lane, where renowned Singaporean artists will be giving the walls between Khanna Market and Meherchand Market an artsy makeover (more pictures for Instagram). Come say hi and be a part of this initiative with artists Sam Lo, Yip Yew Chong, Yok and Sheryo, installation artist Tan Zi Xi, new media artists Brandon Tay, photographic artist Eugene Soh & many more. Think this is your jam? They have multiple workshops such as mix media street art technique by Yok and Sheryo, sticker making by Sam Lo, augmented reality (AR) workshop by Eugene Soh and community engaging workshop by Yip Yew Chong.

Atypical Singapore Showcase at F(r)iction at KONA Atypical Singapore, an art and augmented reality (AR) technology showcase, is part of STB’s Passion Made Possible latest global campaign to promote the Culture Shaper Tribe. As part of the showcase, Khairuddin Hori, curatorial director and partner of Chan+Hori Contemporary, has handpicked seven contemporary artists with different specialisations -  ranging from performance art, sculptures, painting, gif animation, video art to AR effects. The exhibition will consist of an immersive walk-through of multimedia artworks by national and international artists. The temporary exhibition will invite the public to dig into the complexities of our lives entangled in dichotomies and cross pollination between technology, art and nature.

The Singapore Weekender also has a Socialiser party at antiSocial, Hauz Khas, to give a flavour of what it is to #PartyLikeInSG on February 16. Singaporean singer-rapper Yung Raja and Indian singer-rapper Prabh Deep will be enthralling the audience with a power packed performance. And you could enjoy this whilst sipping cocktails from Singapore’s popular bar, Jigger and Pony and Singapore-inspired tapas by Social.
