The Fine Wine Affair presented by La Cave Fine Wine Spirits and The Oberoi, Gurgaon is a three day wine appreciation weekend for the city to celebrate artisan growers, premium wine labels along with an exquisite culinary showcase. Meet the key representation from world renowned wineries who will be pouring and presenting their wines in interactive learning sessions at The Oberoi, Gurgaon. In addition to the extensive range of wines, The Fine Wine Affair will also feature an array of handpicked gourmet pairings, a series of wine tastings, educational inputs and curated master classes on themes surrounding wine and its finer nuances, in a fun and an engaging environment. The one hundred labels being featured across eight countries include premium selections from France, Italy, USA, Australia, New Zealand, Argentina, Chile and Japan. Our wine partner for the three days is La Cave, the city's premium wine boutique that takes the mystery out of selecting a bottle of wine and makes it fun. Owned and managed by Madhulika Dhall, La Cave is opening up its cellar doors and presenting specially selected labels to provide wine lovers the oppurtunity to sample wines they may never have never tasted before. Prestigious wine houses participating for the first time in India, include Marchesi de Barolo, Castello Banfi and Marchesi de Frescobaldi for the event. The passes for the experience are priced as follows: Each day will have 4 visit slots with tasting of 10 labels at INR 1500 for the first two slots of the day and INR 2000 for the last two slots, including taxes. • 12 to 2 p.m. • 2.30 to 4.30 p.m. • 5 to 7 p.m. • 7.30 to 9.30 p.m. Master Class passes are for sale ONLY to those who have bought a wine tasting ticket. Sommelier India, India's Premier Wine magazine will be at the three day wine extravaganza - unveiling the much awaited October issue of Sommelier India magazine at The Fine Wine Affair. The October issue of the magazine will be available for wine connoisseurs. Some wine centric activities planned are: o Artisan Square: Meet the people behind the labels of award winning producers over a 45 minute detailed insight into what makes certain wines so special. The tickets are priced at Rs. 500 per person and also include signature wines along with tasty treats. o Santé: In a section dedicated to the masters, learn how to prepare the perfect cheese board to go along with some delicious French wines, savour a classic gourmet butter along with a fresh homemade baguette or just relish the various flavors of inspired macarons. o Emerged and Arrived: Understand and appraise the variety and beauty of new world wines from Australia and New Zealand along with their countries’ culinary favorite- the roasted lamb with homemade pickles. o Para La Buena Salud: At the Latin American corner walk through the perfect combination of ceviche and wine, while also finding your ideal pair with their traditional confection- Alfajores. o Stars and Stripes: Savor the New York cheesecake, Californian prunes and almonds and the household favorite apple pie along with wines from the county of Sonoma and the valleys of Napa, Columbia and Willamette. • Saluti: While sipping on some exquisite Italian wines and antipasti, taste and revel in the variety of premium olives, cold meats and olive oils from this gastronomic center. • Cellar Door Experience: Along with our resident sommelier, Rakesh Awaghade, taste four wines over the course of 20 minutes and learn how to pick a winning wine for your next dinner party.
