On the occasion of International Women's Day , India Habitat Centre will pay tribute to the well known Tamil/ English writer, feminist ,activist , archivist and the founder of India's only women's archive , SPARROW(Sound and Picture Archives for Research on Women) – Dr. CS Lakshmi, who goes by the pen name Ambai.
- Veteran editor and publisher Karthika VK will be in conversation with Ambai, and performative readings from select translations of SPARROW
- The discussion will be followed by a performance of Ambai’s play “Crossing the Rivers”(Hindi/40mins) presented by Natyadharmi Theatre group and directed by KS Rajendran. Crossing the River presents Sita(Ramayana) in a new light
