The thing about good food is mainly how it makes you feel. A lot of times we order meals and they imbibe a sense of nostalgia and that’s the clincher, that’s why you love that meal. Of course, it has to taste good, there is no doubt about that but imagine a bite that takes you back to a good time, to a happy time, believe me, that’s when that bite becomes even tastier. We ordered from Hakkamen last night, one of the finest Pan Asian (but more Chinese) cloud kitchens in G town and we had one of the best meals in a long time. Good portions, value for money, fresh, and absolutely delicious. They had all the basics of the course and then some, like crumb fried momos, wow, who does that, thank God they do. They also have Thai dishes, so we made a mixed order of sorts, we did a bit of Chinese and a bit of Thai and it was a lot of fun.

We ordered the chop suey, no Chinese meal is complete without that and now I can safely say this is the best chop suey in the whole of Delhi NCR. Perfectly crispy noodles and a completely balanced sauce to go with it, both the chicken and the veggie ones were excellent. We added a side of pad Thai, I am absolutely obsessed with it. Not to sweet, not too spicy, well-cooked noodles, juicy chicken bits, veggies, and an amazing sauce slathered over it. But here is the best part, we have one member of the family who is vegetarian and he always feels marginalized because very rarely do you find a kitchen that does as much justice to vegetarian food as they do to non-vegetarian food especially when it comes to Asian cuisine, I am glad to inform you this is that kitchen. We ordered the butter garlic vegetables and vegetables in hot garlic sauce with the side of fried rice and I’m told, all of it was amazing

This is the place for perfect spring rolls, chili chicken, honey chili potatoes, drums of heaven, chili garlic prawns, fantastic Hakka noodles, you get my drift? If you’re particularly fancy, then add the chicken Krapow to your order, it’s stupendous but start with either the Tom Kha or Tom Yum to whet your appetite. Speaking of Tom Yum, they also have a Tom Yum rice that’s next level good. Hungry yet
