We were invited by LBB to Q'la for a tasting of their Summer Menu. Q'la is this gorgeous place tucked in the fashion destination 'Kila'. You walk in and you are welcomed in a beautiful courtyard with fairy lit trees and wooden tables. The restaurant itself is a chic place done in gold, mirrors and flickering candles.
We were greeted by our server and informed of the menu.
They served us an Orange Juice and Ginger Ale Mocktail and the dishes started to pour in like clockwork. Each a work of art and a delectable surprise for the palate.
The chef came with each dish and explained the preparation, which was a very nice touch and we really appreciated it.
First came in a Chicken and Apple Soup which set the palate for European fare. It was followed by a wonderful Salmon preparation. Followed by a delicate Poached Egg Dish.
We ordered cocktails too, which were very refreshing.
The Scallops after this were such a nice and light dish. Hit after hit continued and then came to the 'Piece De Resistance' the duck confit with mustard smear and fig jam. It was heavenly and we fell in love with it.
The dessert was served after a much-needed break and it was a Light Kaffir Lime Tart with Orange Chocolate Ganache.
We spent a lovely couple of hours at this amazing place eating gorgeous food served with love and attention. An experience we don't intend forgetting any time soon.
Rest in Spice gives it a 5/5 & a perfect spot for a date.
