While contemplating a raid on the Avacodo section at The Farmer's Store in Khar West, we stumbled upon Purganics - a brand that makes organic sanitary pads. The brand makes sustainable and eco-friendly products that are not only gentle on your skin, but nature too.

We picked up a box of their sanitary napkins and we must tell you, we are pleased we did. The pads are made out of cotton that is free of any bleaching agents, fragrance and other harmful chemicals. The cotton that goes into the pads has been grown without the use of pesticides and GMO, making it completely natural.

Even the leak protection {which is generally plastic in commercial pads} is plant based. What does it mean? After the pad is disposed of, it doesn't pose a danger to the environment.

The pads are priced at INR 399 for a pack of 10 which is a little steep. But, sadly, natural and organic products make us pay the price. If it's any respite, the pads are value for money and you'll know this the moment you start using them.
