A trip to the serene Rumsu Village near Manali, Himachal

Away from the hustle bustle of Manali, you would get the perfect feeling of spending your vacation in a quaint and serene Himachal Village. It's very easily accessible from Kullu and is hardly 10 kms from Naggar Castle

The last 3-4 kms of the road are under repair and it was quite a bumpy ride however on my way back we decided to trek through the apple orchards and that turned out to be the wisest decision and also one of the most scenic treks.

It's best to take a bus till Kullu and from there you can get a cab on sharing basis as well till Naggar. From Naggar either you can trek up to the village or take a private cab. The trek route is going to take 1 hour at max.

This is a small village but has quite a few homestays and small cafes so I'd you intend on staying a couple of nights then just stroll through the village and check with the locals on the home stays and guest houses in the village. Everyone is very helpful and if you happen to go between july-september then do buy some freshly plucked apples
