What Makes It Awesome

A friend introduced me to Aditi Dot as the "most unique, individualistic, young musician I have heard in a while", and truer words can't have been said. She's a mix of Fiona Apple, Regina Spektor, and her original music belongs on 500 Days of Summer. Don't believe me? Head over to her SoundCloud/YouTube channel and get mind blown. I attended one of her more intimate gigs held in a basement in Panchsheel; the vibe, the audience, and the settings were lovely. It was amazing to see members of the audience sing along to her songs, Asymmetrical and Plasticine being two favourites. The way she interacted with the audience and kept all us clicking and humming along was incredible - I mean, she's only 17/18?!

Start following her on Facebook to see when and where she performs next, or check out LBB's events page for details.

What's My Pro Tip?

Don't forget to carry cash. Entry is free, but there's a call for contributions at the end of the gig. Support local musicians! Here's her Facebook page -

Anything Else?

The venue is usually secret and disclosed only over email; so hitting "interested" on Facebook won't get you anywhere. She's got a line-up of gigs coming up, across India. So keep a look out for those. Also, she starts on time {thank God}! Reach at least 30 mins in advance to get a good spot; her gig venues pack up pretty easily.
