Always Struggle With Parking At Lajpat Nagar Market? Avail This Free E-Rickshaw Service

The information in this post might be outdated

A free e-rickshaw service has been launched from the Lajpat Nagar Metro station to the Lajpat Central Market with the aim of encouraging people to use public transport and avoid overcrowding of private vehicles entering the market. The Lajpat Nagar Traders’ Association will bear the cost of these free e-rickshaws that will ply on three different routes – Veer Savarkar Marg, Feroze Gandhi Marg and Shiv Mandir Road.

Wondering how you’ll identify e-rickshaws that offer free services? Just look for rickshaws carrying boards with ‘free sewa’ written on them. Currently, 10 e-rickshaws offer free rides and in the coming days, the numbers may double up.

Considering that it’s the shaadi season, this service could prove to be a saviour for Delhites. For starters, it would certainly help with the traffic congestion and the savings then are just an additional plus. Moreover, it’s claimed to be a first-of-its-kind initiative taken by the general public {the market association} to tackle traffic jams {yay, Delhi!}.

Shopping at Lajpat just got easier you guys, make a trip soon maybe?

We first read about it here.
