The Space
Each room at Amarya Villa is themed on Navratna, India’s nine auspicious gemstones, and painstakingly designed to live up to its caption. The villa comprises two three-storey houses, redone, complete with large bay windows, a sunlit atrium, a stunning terrace {where meals are served}, private verandas and a garden. We loved their candle-lit terrace complete with soft white canopie and earthen seating.
What to Expect
Like most packages, expect breakfast to be a part of the deal; this is served all day long and features some of the choicest freshly baked breads, crepes, farm fresh eggs to order, organic muesli, breakfast cereals, fruit, and juices. Owned by a French family, you can expect some top-notch quality, especially given their competitive pricing.
Other basic amenities include Wi-Fi, in-room dining, drop and pick-up service, massage therapist on request, in-room electronic safe and plasma screen with satellite cable, housekeeping, currency exchange, babysitting services on request, laundry service, room service, hot and cold water and a 24-hour kitchen.
Centre of the Action
Only drawback? They’re in a bustling neighborhood, and so a quiet tranquil time might be hard to come by. But hey, no other way to get a true taste of the capital. Ask while checking in, which room gets the least noise, in case you’re looking for a relatively quiet time. They’ll help with cabs, travels and tours, and have general tourist information available.
