What Makes It Awesome

A cozy little cafe nestled in Alaknanda Market, Ambra’s the newest to the food scene in GK 2 but we have a feeling it’s going to be a regular go-to for us. On the menu are all the Italian classics; thin crust pizza, arancini balls, roasted tomato bruschetta and enough pasta for us to have something new to try every time we go.

We went on a Saturday and they shared the menu with us on our phones just so everything remains contactless. We got the Beetroot Risotto, Tomato Bruschetta and Pepperoni Pizza. The risotto was a pretty millennial pink shade and it was creamy and slightly al dente, just the way we like it. The bruschetta topped with tomatoes and parmesan was crisp and fresh. The star of our meal, though, had to be the pizza with its hand rolled dough and crisp pepperoni that didn’t feel too heavy.

To go with our food, we got an Iced Cappuccino and the Raspberry Iced Tea; the coffee was strong but the iced tea was perfect for a hot day out. We also got to try their in-house Kombucha (on the house!) which we got a bottle of to take with us.

They have a little retail side, too, where you can take home the coffee you drank (the Kaffa Cerrado beans) or the ice cream you ate for dessert (Cold Love has the best salted caramel ice cream we’ve had in a while.) Plus, even the pillows can be taken home and they’re going to be collaborating with independent artists and brands for workshops and mini exhibitions.

Price: INR 1,500 for 2 (approx.)

Pro-Tip

You’ll more than likely find one of the owners hanging around in case you need help in picking what to order or discuss a retail collaboration with them for your own business.
