A good analog watch is a wardrobe essential. A classy and timeless piece which completes a look. They can range from anywhere between INR 1,000 to lakhs, but we're here to look at a more reasonable range. After all, you've got to keep up with trends in this department too! While the Rados, Longines' and Cartiers are well out of our league, here are a few options under INR 15,000 that are good brands albeit not exclusive watch makers. So, keep up with time and trends with our selection of analogue watches that won't cost too much and their slightly (ahem, much more!) expensive versions!
8 Analog Watches Under 15K For Women That Look More Expensive Than They Are
Armani Exchange Silver Watch AX5535
From the collection Lola, this watch is great if you're looking for a sleek and streamlined watch for everyday wear. It's made from stainless steel so it won't corrode, rust or stain (as normal steel does). The dial size is 36mm and the strap is 16mm. What we liked was that it's water-resistant, so it can take an occasional splash without any problem.
Luxe Option: While this one costs INR 10,995, we found it very similar to the one from Movado that costs easily upwards of INR 40,000
Pro Tip: Don't spray your perfume on it! It's worst for your watch! Spray the perfume before you put the watch on!
Tommy Hilfiger Quartz Analog Blue Dial Stainless Steel Strap Watch
Classic, cool and with a dual display, this Tommy Hilfiger watch makes for a great addition to your collection. It's a different colour from the usual gold and silver yet easy to style with outfits. In fact, the midnight blue works really well to offset any other colour of outfit. Slightly heavier set, this one is perfect to take you straight from a formal outfit at work, to a sit-down dinner at a posh bar. It features a fold-over push-button deployment clasp closure to keep it secure and is also water resistant.
Luxe Option: Similar to the gorgeous Louis Erard Lapis Lazuli which costs about INR 2.5 lakh, we're sticking to Tommy for now!
Fossil Dual Tone Stainless Steel Watch
This watch is available in four variants and all under budget, some even under INR 10k. It's a timeless design and we trust the brand. All win-win. One of our colleagues has had the Two-Tone Stainless Steel option and says it's light, has a good battery life (but don't change the battery at any old store), and matches with almost everything!
Luxe Option: Our usual go-to for the luxury watch option is Tag Heuer, and with prices starting at INR 2 lakh, for similar watches to our Fossil one, you make the call!
Michael Kors Pyper Rose Gold Watch MK4594
This watch from MK features a white stamped logo dial with glitz indexes and a rose gold-tone case. The dial is 39mm with it being water-resistant up to 30m - can withstand splashes and quick hand-washing. While Michael Kors isn't a brand you'd think of for watches at first (hello Michael Kors bags!), they really are quite durable. Plus, we've spotted Jennifer Aniston, Victoria Beckham and Cameron Diaz sport Michael Kors watches, so why not you!
Luxe Option: We're sticking with another Michael Kors one for a watch similar to the one we picked as the only difference is that this Everest Rose Gold one has crystal on it and costs INR 26,000.
Lacoste Red Dial Watch
We would recommend buying this one to expand your collection if you already have a set of basic watches in your wardrobe. It's got a textured silicon strap with a 2-year warranty. And while it looks casual and cool, it's really quite chic and can work as easily with denims and a white shirt as it does with a saree.
Luxe Option: This Versace one is so very similar to the Lacoste one. But at INR 96,000, the Lacoste one not only wins for price, but also versatility as the Medusa logo makes it a bit loud and thus less casual.
Daniel Wellington
Available in 2 different dial sizes - 28mm and 32mm, this watch is simple and elegant. It has an all-black NATO strap (a single piece of material that goes around the watch with a buckle closure). The gold dial complements the black really well and because of its minimal look makes for a great everyday option. A fair number of folks at LBB have used Daniel Wellington, and while they're still not as popular as some others on this list yet, the design is sleek. The mechanics are not as smooth as a few bigger watch brands, but for the price, they're worth it.
Luxe Option: Versace has a few similar ones, all upwards of INR 60,000
Paul Hewitt, Everpulse
Made from polished stainless steel in a 38 mm case this watch from Paul Hewitt is water-resistant to 50m which means you can take it for a swim without a worry. To my surprise, the grey complements the rose-gold accents quite well. The sapphire glass is scratch resistant which is always a good thing.
Luxe Option: If it's polished stainless steel, then it's got to be Raymond Weil!
Titan
We cannot leave Titan off this list! Ever. Especially the Titan Raga collection. Meant to be dressy, classic but with new additions to the collection every season, these ones are pretty, budget-friendly with options starting at INR 3,000. Currently, the collection has everything from simple chain straps to knotted coloured ones with gem stones. If you want to keep it classic, then this metal one is perfect. If you want a jazzy one, then the Love All with Mother Of Pearl is the one. Do check out The Moments Of Joy collection for something modern yet traditional.
