Say hello to Anuprerna, a Bengal-based brand that makes the most beautiful scarves, sarees, stoles and fabrics using traditional methods and indigenous weaves.
Based out of Burdwan, Anuprerna works with weavers from rural Bengal to create stunning ethical and, mostly, sustainable textiles and weaves - all hand-spun and handwoven. We love their range of natural fabrics like cotton, khadi and linen along with East India's indigenous handloom silks like tussar, matka, mulberry, ketya and matka to name a few. A lot of them are naturally dyed, handblock printed or available in batik prints done by hand. You'll also find hand painted and jamdani scarves along with handloom jacquard and jamdani sarees.
I personally loved their range of scarves. You'll find them in different patterns - abstract, canvas, chambray, geometric, floral and plaids to name a few. My favourite is the pure hand spun jamdani one in white and the hand painted one in maroon and yellow. If you prefer sewing your own threads, then browse through their collection of fabrics - from batik printed ones to pure cotton yarn dyed ones, you'll find it all here. Best part? They do customisations too based on design.
Prices start at INR 150 for fabrics, INR 700 for scarves and INR 1,000 for sarees.
