Aqua Aerobics Classes at Shangri-La's Eros Hotel

As the mercury rises in Delhi, early morning jogs end in pools of sweat and ultimately die down. Fitness trainer and wellness expert Kiran Sawhney comes to the rescue to save the city’s inhabitants from transforming into air-conditioned couch potatoes. Sawhney has taken aerobics and turned it into a fun workout in the pool.

Aqua aerobics, unlike every other exercise routine done on land actually ends up leaving you refreshed in the scorching summer heat. Moreover, Sawhney explains that it burns more calories too! The technical explanation? Water is 12-14 times thicker than air and thus the same movements create a greater impact on your body.

The one-hour workout at the Shangri-La has you do basic walking on the pool floor followed by cardio and strengthening exercises. Sawhney encourages all age groups to participate in the fun session.

So if you’re looking to shed some extra kilos, swim to the Shangri-La pool on weekends and dance your way to a fit bod.
