We recommend Aravali Marriott Resort & Spa in Faridabad, cut off from the city, yet reachable in just about an hour ish of driving

The Resort & Rooms

Let's set the scene: lush greenery all around (hello, Aravalli hills), urban-inspired free-flowing architecture design and a lavish multi-level pool at the centre of it (one of the largest pools we have seen in Delhi). The outdoor living vibe with fresh air is a welcoming break from your electronic devices' screens and instantly sets the tone for a relaxing getaway. From day to night, as nature shifts its mood, the resort and its lush green surroundings change their character beautifully and are a delight to watch.

The bathroom is equally luxurious, complete with a shower, toiletries, lush towels and a bathtub that sits parallel to a window showing you greenery from the outside while you unwind in your safe space. Mind you, the suite makes you feel so comfortable, you'd want to be there all day long, but buckle up for diving into the resort’s many activities.

The Activities

Aravali Marriott Resort & Spa has got all the bases covered for being the ultimate getaway, especially for families and big groups. There's, of course, the gorgeous swimming pool that is the focal point of the resort, just waiting for you to dive in. Head to the games room for a game of foosball, carrom, air hockey and all the OG board games with your gang. Additionally, there are a plethora of activities that the extremely hospitable team at the resort can arrange for you, like kite flying, early morning yoga, hydroponic farming, berry picking and a cooking class for the kids, all on complimentray basis. For tiny tots, there's also a kids' room for them to enjoy their play time. Plus, the property is pet-friendly so you can bring your furry friends along.

They also host a lovely Chaupal experience for in-house guests to experience the local culture and interact. This happens poolside, accompanied by tasty pakodas, fruit chaat, and chai, along with live candy floss and popcorn carts to keep the kids entertained. To keep you entertained, there's pottery making, a magic show for the little ones and a game of tambola for all.

Moving on to wellness, the state-of-the-art fitness centre is open all day to help burn those holiday calories. After a nice cardio session, book yourselves a full-body massage at the Nilaya Spa, where expert masseuses start by addressing your concerns and helping you choose the perfect oil blend. The spa is luxuriously planned with a steam and sauna room to completely relax your mind, body and soul. Post this, the only way to do justice to this absolutely great spa session is to head back to the room, snooze in your soft bed for a couple of hours and wake up to good food waiting for you at their restaurant.

The Food

The Aravali Kitchen is their all-day dining restaurant, where they serve a lavish breakfast buffet with all sorts of breakfast goodies across cuisines. There's Asian, South Indian, North Indian, Italian, Continental and our favourite, eggs (in any way you like). For us, the highlight was the Ballabgarh Thali, served on request. This thali was an explosion of flavours with each offering cooked and seasoned perfectly by their expert chefs. There were beetroot cutlets, two dals, paneer, pulao, and regional subzis, salads, papad, chach and a whole lotta love served on our plate for a grand meal.

Wanna grab a drink outside? Head to The Olive Grove to enjoy lovely mocktails, fresh-pressed juices and cocktails poolside, and catch a glimpse of the pool as its aura transforms when the evening sky sets in.

The Service

Service here feels warm, attentive, and genuinely thoughtful. You are always welcomed with a smile, and the team goes the extra mile to tailor things to your liking. Whether it's booking a spa session or setting up a lovely sundowner by the pool. It's the kind of hospitality that makes it easy to truly switch off.
