What Is It?

There’s an attainable arts festival in the park happening for the first time next month. Called the HT Imagine Fest, this one will bring together artists across realms like theatre, music, art and more, allowing art enthusiasts to engage with different forms in a new, tree-lined setting. Obviously, now what can be more inclusive than bringing artworks to a literal park, right?

It’s been planned for March 10-11, and will have galleries, live musicians, food stalls, art experts, workshops and theatre taking over Nehru Park.

Who Is It For?

Think the city has nothing new and fun to offer? This is your chance at altering that perception.

If you want to learn a thing or two from art experts, try your hand at a drawing workshop. If you want to enjoy a theatrical performance under the sun, there’s good reason you’ll love this park outing. In fact, even if you have children who like painting, or friends/partners who don’t mind spending an afternoon admiring beautiful artworks put out in Nehru Park, you’ve got to show some love for this first-timer.

When you’ve had your fill of art, you can count on the Palate Fest guys to treat you to some good food and live music, because hey, that’s what they do best.

Why Should I Go For It?

It’s an open-air, multi-genre arts festival in the park, and we see no reason you shouldn’t go. Well-known galleries will bring out their finest talents, and you’ll find over 50 artists curating art walks, tours, workshops and discussing pertinent issues with other panelists.

There will be a special art studio for children and an art walk-through, where tours will be led by the who’s-who of the art world. The idea here will be helping people pick out artworks for their house, or helping them appreciate the finer nuances of artwork better. Rest assured that it isn’t going to be all talk. Like we said, there’ll be workshops and food as well.

Anything Else?

We’re going to enjoy the best of spring and art, and of course, because we can never turn down a music and food-filled outing at Nehru Park. Find more info here.
