Asia 7 Brings Out The Big Guns With Dynamite Shrimps & Chilli Jam
Shortcut
Must Eat
Shanghai Chicken, Dynamite Shrimps and Broccoli Almond Dumplings
Asia 7 is known for their meticulously crafted dim sums and our favourites include Shanghai Chicken, Schezwan Chicken and Broccoli Almond Dumplings. The dumplings are accompanied by a variety of sauces, of which the Chilli Jam and Black Pepper Oil are not to be missed.
Dynamite Shrimps—a take on the prawn cocktail—the shrimps are perfectly cooked, with a slight crunch, coated completely in a creamy chilli sauce and served on a bed of salad leaves. This is definitely the star of their new menu.
For the main course, their classic Fried Rice with Shredded Chicken in Five Spice Sauce is blissful. And lastly, their home-made coconut ice cream is a must-have!
Must Drink
Orange and Peach Punch
Their signature summer mocktail is refreshing and rejuvenating. The Cool Cucumber has a slight hotness balanced with refreshing cucumber and basil. The cucumber seeds irk a little in the mouth, but the drink is still delicious and perfect to beat the summer heat.
What We Loved
The ingredients are internationally sourced to ensure authenticity. The fine-dine, yet laid-back vibe is ideal for a relaxed lunch with friends or a dinner date at night. The music isn’t loud enough to hamper your conversation, which is always a plus.
What Didn’t Impress Us
The Roasted Chicken Wings in barbecue sauce were a little soggy and had a peculiar smell, which wasn’t appetising. The vegetable coriander dumplings were a little sweet for our taste, but you may enjoy them if you have a sweet tooth. The Tom Yum Soup is quite hot on the tongue. It’s not for the fainthearted, but the galangal and lemongrass leave a lasting impression on your palate.
#LBBTip
You shouldn’t miss their Jasmine Tea after the meal. Its aromatic, refreshing and ideal to finish off the meal.
