TAJ ❤️ I have never been to Agra to see the Taj, but it has still aways fascinated me! When the weaver I work with in Banaras showed me a rough sketch of the gorgeous monmument I knew I had to have it. It took 5 months for me to get this gorgeous fabric. I decided to make a very simple blouse and teamed it with a block colour saree in sky blue and red made in silk and modal. It was important that the focus was always this gorgeous monument epitomosing love. Some of you may think that just the plain blue saree would look nicer, but I disagree. The red comppliments the blue beautifully and I love every bit of it. I had to get my sister to model for this look, and once again I have kept it really simple – a goregous over sized earring, small bindi, vinatge hair and minimal makeup. Also, I know there are some very big names in the industry who have used the Taj motif in their works but that does not mean that since its been used by someone I can’t use it. Taj epitomises love and is a national treasure – everyone has the right to enjoy and appreciate its beauty – a big shot designer , me or you! Have you heard of statement saris? Neither have we, but we now feel like they can be a thing. Get one of these saris if you’re okay with a lot of attention coming your way, because they are absolutely STUNNING! His design aesthetics are timeless yet very unique at the same time.

We absolutely love his colour block saree with a Taj Mahal Banarasi blouse, Kalamkari sarees, and Patan Patola sarees. Although a tad expensive, his design sensibility makes it totally worth it.
