To add to Gurgaon’s ever-increasing list of where we’d like to unwind, The Backyard Underground has set up shop in Sector 29. Their Punjabi Bagh outlet, The Backyard, is the perfect place to chill with old friends and cold beer, so they’re hoping to recreate the same magic in G-town.
Except there’s a slight twist. It’s all underground – 20 feet underground to be precise.
Wooden interiors, big, bright lights and interesting little details lend authenticity to The Backyard. The menu is an eclectic mix of many cuisines and some of their highly-recommended dishes include the Frilly Prawns, Chettinad Chicken Tikkas and Yung Rolls.
No meal is complete without a couple of cocktails to wash it down and, from what we’re hearing, The Backyard has interesting options on their menu. How about the Masala Fruit Sangria or the Very Very Long L.I.I.T.?
To celebrate the launch, they’re currently offering all of their classic cocktails at INR 99, and their signature cocktails for INR 149, which sounds like a pretty sweet deal. On till Jul 3, we’d definitely make plans for a fun night at The Backyard!
