We’re big on being #VocalForLocal at LBB so anything that’s made traditionally by local weavers who’ve been using those techniques for generations, chances are, we’ll love it. Banka Silk has been connecting all of us to over 35,000 weavers in Jharkhand for 5 years now, making their sustainable sarees, and now face masks, so much more accessible.
I got to try out some of their masks that are made with 100% sustainably sourced cotton; the masks were breathable and the loops were adjustable so they were super comfortable. They come in a few different colours but I got the plain khaki ones so I could decorate them myself. They also have some traditional sarees made with handwoven silk in some classic colours that you’ll like if you love to go all out on festivals.
They’re also going to be adding scarves and home decor soon which I’m super excited to check out.
