A fine-dine restaurant serving everyone’s beloved North Indian cuisine, Baraamda checks all the boxes (soft music, great food and an even better ambience) for perfect date nights or lavish celebratory dinners with the fam.
Located in Sector 122, the restaurant’s entrance is a glorified version of a veranda, very cutely done up with faux grass, colourful planters, bamboo chairs and wooden benches. The outdoor area and Baraamda’s main entrance with bright yellow doors and windows give a Pondy-like vibe to the place, and if you and your SO have been planning a trip down south and things haven’t materialised yet, this is probably as close as you’ll get to Pondy in Delhi NCR.
Impressed by the pretty outdoors, we ventured into the restaurant to find a spacious hall with comfy leather seating, classy wooden interiors, grey walls with framed posters and wooden and recycled art. Without a doubt, Baraamda’s ambience is the star of the show.
From Biryani, Dal Makhni & Paneer Lababdaar to Handi Mutton, Kadhai Chicken and Hyderabadi Keema Curry, their menu has everything that your parents and any Mughlai food lover will appreciate. Apart from the regular North Indian fare, Baraamda has something for the non-Mughlai eater too like Manchurian Gravy, Kung Pao Chicken, Schezwan Fried Rice, Honey Chilli and more.
Since our love for non-vegetarian was no secret, we went with the owner’s recommendation of Afghani Chicken and Kadhai and were pleased with what we were served. Their creamy and tender Afghani Chicken is the perfect starter to kick up your appetite and the Kadhai Chicken with its smoky taste of spices and onions cooked in thick gravy along with a crispy Laccha Paratha end the main course on just the right note – happy and full.
