Berliner Harmoniker's Digital Concert Hall

What's Happening?

We've always dreamt of visiting magnificent concert halls for watching phenomenal orchestral performances. This German orchestra band is taking us closer to that dream by bringing grand performances to our home screens. The Berlin Philharmoniker, one of the globally acclaimed orchestras, is giving a free 30-day ticket for streaming grand concerts from their archived collection, interesting documentaries and films. The ticket gives you access to various interviews, concert recordings and more. So far they've broadcasted eight concerts by different conductors and presenters. You can choose a concert based on their chief conductors Kirill Petrenko, Sir Simon Rattle, Claudio Abbado and Herbert von Karajan.

They're holding a live digital European concert with Kirill Petrenko on May 1 at 2:30pm. The performance was originally going to be conducted on the same date inside the concert hall but because of the current Covid-19 situation, the band will perform under strict health guidelines in an empty Philharmonie hall. Imagine thousands of people watching this band performing in front of their virtual audiences.
