Winter is coming and so is another viral make-up trend. The Cold Girl or I'm Cold look inspired by Kylie Jenner and Emily Ratajkowski has taken TikTok and Instagram by storm. It's a flushed look with a tinge of sparkle. It’s pretty simple. To achieve it, start with hydrating your skin very well and doing a no-make-up make-up base—the aim is to look like you have naturally flushed skin due to the cold weather, skip the bronzer and add a lot of blush, blend it and you're done. Some even cover their ears in blush, but that's where we draw the line.

The Just Herbs Lip & Cheek Tint Blush in Rose Coral is probably one of the easiest formulas to work with. It is a 4 g pot that will last you a very long time, even if you use it every day. The pigmentation is good, it blends easily and is buildable to your liking. The only drawback is that it doesn’t stay for as long as it claims, which is four to five hours, on my combination skin type, it stays for a maximum of two hours unless set with a fixing spray. It has some amount of Jojoba oil in it, which helps keep your skin moisturised during this weather.

Ask any make-up enthusiast and they’ll tell you that Benetint either is, or at some time was, their go-to blush choice. It’s a super watery formula with sheer coverage that works for most Indian skin tones, you barely feel like you’ve applied anything. It is buildable and you don’t need to apply too much.

As a brand, Forest Essentials is known for their remarkable blend of science and ayurveda when it comes to skincare and make-up. The buildable Guur Nikhar cheek tint comes in two colour variants—Gulaabi and Gerua. The formula is packed with key organic ingredients like rose, sweet almond oil and moringa oil, living up to its natural, ayurvedic name, while the tint itself claims to go on sheer, nourish the skin, enhance the glow. Having tried and tested the gerua variant, we can vouch for the buildability and lightweight yet long-lasting effect of this cream-based blush.

The Makeup Revolution ultra blush and makeup palette is a life saver when it comes to having variants of blush and contour in one palette. Known for its insanely good pigmentation, this palette comes with eight stunning shades at an affordable price. The formulation comes in two variants, Sugar and Spice, which is ideal for blush and Hot Spice which is more on the brown-ish nude side. What we also love about particularly the Sugar and Spice one is the mix of both matte and shimmery colors—perfect to use the shimmery options as highlighters too. While both of them are suitable for Indian skin tones. The Mars Fantasy Face Palette is a great dupe for this palette.
